The Soap Museum first opened its doors in 2000, in a 17th century vaulted soap factory located in the heart of the old town of Saida, Lebanon.

The creations available on this website come from the museum’s boutique and are all made by local craftsmen and women who we know personally.

Through our collaboration, we have reworked traditional homeware with a more contemporary design, all the while making sure to respect artisanal working techniques.

We are proud to work with these talented artisans, some with special needs, helping them earn a living amidst the hard times facing Lebanon today.

Each of our products is made by hand, with locally sourced natural or recycled materials.

Sidonia is our brand name.

We thank you for helping us preserve our Lebanese heritage and hope you will enjoy having our creations in your home!
